Lock Haven Hospital Hosting “Tell A Friend” Telethon
Lock Haven, PA. Oct.11th, 2008 –
Lock Haven Hospital is proud to participate with the American Cancer Society during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the “Tell A Friend” Program. The American Cancer Society sponsors the national initiative to advocate for breast health and the potential lifesaving benefits of early detection. Volunteers are asked to contact women to encourage them to make and keep an appointment for a mammogram.
The Telethon will be conducted by Lock Haven Hospital Employee Volunteers on Oct. 28th , 2008 between 4:00 and 8:00 PM. “Mammathon” callers will be phoning women over the age of 40 reminding women of the American Cancer Society recommendation of having an annual mammogram exam. Information on Breast cancer detection, treatment and support groups will be available as well as scheduling assistance.
