Lock Haven Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Mammography and CT Scanning as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.  The ACR, headquartered in Reston, VA, awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement  of high practice standards after a peer-reviewed evaluation.  They assess the qualifications of the personnel and adequacy of facility equipment. Subsequently, the FDA has also conducted their annual review of the mammography program at Lock Haven Hospital and found 100% compliance to all standards.  Eric Dershem, Director of Radiology responded, “Receiving these accreditations solidifies the goals of the department in offering top quality care and striving for excellent patient satisfaction.”   For more information,  Eric Dershem may be reached at Lock Haven Hospital at 893-5142.
