Lock Haven Hospital Recognizes Wendy Fike

Lock Haven, PA. Dec. 17th, 2008 –

Wendy Fike was recognized as Lock Haven Hospital’s Employee of the Month for September 2008.  Gail Berguson, Director of Nutritional Services, presented Wendy with the Employee of the Month Award acknowledging her efforts to ensure timely and accurate meal preparations for the patients of Lock Haven Hospital and the residents in the Extended Care Unit.  Berguson stated, “Wendy is a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile to help others.  She worked extra shifts on weekends to get us through challenging times and is very deserving of the recognition.”  Pictured with The Award Winner are members of the Nutritional Services team from left to right: Sherri Gunsallas, Carol Weaver, Edie Burfield, Miranda Carleton.  Back: Wendy Fike, Gail Berguson, Kerri Bell, Linda Walizer, Deb Burfield.

Nominations for the Employee of the Month are reviewed monthly and the review committee selects a recipient with attention to excellence and a commitment to quality care and customer service.  Employees earning the recognition also receive a Hospital Achievement Award and gift certificates from local merchants.  Winners are automatically eligible for the Employee of the Year Award.
