Haven Primary Care Physician Completes Board Exam
Lock Haven (PA) - Dr. Faryal Afzal of Haven Primary Care has completed requirements of the American College of Internal Medicine and has become Board-Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Afzal completed her Residency training at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, where she practiced for three years. Her training specialized in preventative care of hypertension, diabetes, and stroke.
The American College of Internal Medicine is the governing institution for the standards of competency for the Internal Medicine discipline. Board-Certification runs for a ten year period and requires continuing medical education on an annual basis.
