Haven Primary Care Welcomes Dr. Faryal Afzal Specializing in Adult Internal Medicine

Lock Haven, PA – The Board of Trustees and the Administration of Lock Haven Hospital, are pleased to announce that Dr. Faryal Afzal will open her practice in Adult Internal Medicine at the Lock Haven Medical Arts Building, 208 E. Church St. on Aug 3, 2009.

Dr. Afzal received her medical education from Nishtar Medical College, Pakistan,   She received her post graduate training in Internal Medicine from Bronx Lebanon, Bronx, New York.  Dr. Afzal also completed extensive internship training in general surgery while in Pakistan. She also has research experience and interest in Nuclear Stress Testing and maximal heart rate studies.

Dr. Afzal is Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine and will be completing requirements for certification during the month of August.

During residency training, Dr. Afzal served as Senior Resident and has expertise in bedside invasive procedures, arthrocentesis, and critical care inpatient management.

Dr.  Afzal will be available for scheduled office appointments and hospital consultations and will offer full spectrum Internal Medicine services for adult patients.

Appointments are now being scheduled.  Haven Primary Care office hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.   Walk-ins will also be accepted and special evening hours on Wednesdays until 7:00 pm.  Please call (570) 748-0474 to arrange for a convenient appointment time or for more information.   We look forward to serving the comprehensive needs provided by a personal physician.
