Lock Haven Hospital Recognizes Sharon Gunsallus as Employee of the Month

Lock Haven, PA –Sharon Gunsallus was recognized as Lock Haven Hospital’s Employee of the Month for September 2009.  Cindy Segar-Miller, CEO, and Gail Berguson, Director of Nutrition and Culinary Services, along with the Senior Management team, presented Gunsallus with the Employee of the Month Award acknowledging her efforts toward achieving the highest standards of patient care and ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of patient and resident meals.  Berguson states, “Sherri is great worker and has shown dedication and commitment to her job for many years. She is always willing to lend a hand and will go out of her way to make patients, residents and staff happy.
Sharon has worked at Lock Haven Hospital for 12 years and has served in many food preparation roles and performs multiples tasks associated with the smooth operations of the cafeteria service to visitors, patient families, and employees.  Her daily duties include the delivery of patient and resident meals, line cooking, and general food preparation duties in the hospital cafeteria.   
Nominations for the Employee of the Month are reviewed monthly and the review committee selects a recipient with attention to excellence and a commitment to quality care and customer service.  Employees earning the recognition also receive a hospital garment and are automatically eligible for the Employee of the Year Award.
