Lock Haven Hospital Announces Leadership Transition 

New CEO John Zidansek joins from Sharon, PA, health system 

Lock Haven, PA – Lock Haven Hospital has announced a transition in leadership, with current Chief Executive Officer Cindy Segar-Miller transferring to the Scranton, Pennsylvania, market and the introduction of new CEO, John Zidansek, who most recently served as the chief executive of the Sharon Regional Health System.

With more than 25 years of experience in health care administration, Zidansek comes to Lock Haven Hospital after serving as President and CEO at Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, Pa., since 2006. Before that, he served 15 years as chief operating officer for the same system and in leadership roles at facilities in Orlando, Daytona Beach and Brandon, Fla. With a master’s degree in health administration from University of Pittsburgh, Zidansek has enjoyed successes related to service line development and quality improvement as well as medical staff development and satisfaction.

Lock Haven Hospital Strategic Plan on Track 

During Segar-Miller’s tenure, Lock Haven Hospital successfully recruited thirteen primary care and specialty physicians to the community including; OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Cardiology, Pain Management, Oncology and Hematology.

Segar-Miller help the facility secure and complete a $3,198,773 ICU renovation project and an additional $7,409,594 in capital equipment and building upgrades. She oversaw programs that significantly improved patient, employee and physician satisfaction scores, making Lock Haven Hospital a great place for patients to receive care, employees to work and physicians to practice medicine.
