Lock Haven Hospital Appoints Kathleen Hartman, RN, MSN

Chief Nursing Officer 

Lock Haven, PA – Lock Haven Hospital announced Kathleen Hartman has been named Chief Nursing Officer.

 

Prior to joining Lock Haven Hospital, Hartman served as the chief nursing officer at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook New Hampshire. Her experience includes; adjunct faculty member for the University System of New Hampshire, director of operations, Livingston Infusion Care of Southfield, NJ and administrator and director of nursing for Health Force of Trenton, NJ.

“We have seen tremendous growth in our patient satisfaction results and are excited to have someone with Kathy’s experience come on board in the role of chief nursing officer to help us continue to grow,” said John Zidansek, chief executive officer, Lock Haven Hospital. “Kathy’s hands on approach to teaching and professional development of nurses, will help us to elevate our nursing staff to the next level.”

Hartman brings over twenty-five years of nursing, administrative and nursing leadership experience to the position. She holds a masters degree in nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. Hartman earned an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Saint Leo’s University in Saint Leo, Florida and a nursing certificate from the Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune, New Jersey.

“Our main focus continues to be assisting our physicians in the delivery of the best possible care to all of our patients,” said Hartman. “I am excited to have the opportunity to help lead the dedicated nurses at Lock Haven Hospital and mentor their professional development.”

Hartman holds membership in the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Nurses Association, and the Emergency Nurses Association.

Lock Haven Hospital is a 47-bed facility with an additional 90 long-term care beds, and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. With more than 40 medical staff members, specialties include cardiology, otolaryngology, family practice, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, pain management, nephrology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and pediatrics.
