Lock Haven Hospital E C U Selects Director of Nursing  

Lock Haven, PA – Lock Haven Hospital’s Extended Care Unit (ECU) has named Marlene Major, RN as the new Director of Nursing for the facility.

Major most recently served as the Director of Nursing at HCR ManorCare, Jersey Shore. During her twenty five year tenure at ManorCare, Major worked in a variety of roles including registered nurse, LPN and certified nurse assistant, working her way up to a leadership role.

“We are pleased to be able to add someone with Marlene’s broad base of nursing experience and training to the role of Director of Nursing for the Extended Care Unit,” said John Zidansek, Chief Executive Officer, Lock Haven Hospital. “She will play a critical role in delivering skilled, compassionate, and quality care to our ECU patients.”

“Nursing plays such a critical role in not only the treatment of our patients, but also ensuring the needs of their families needs are met during their stay with us,” said Amy Comstock, administrator, Lock Haven Hospital ECU. “Marlene brings not only solid experience, but also the ability to help train our staff and help them to continue to deliver the best care available.” 

Major earned her nursing degree from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.

The Lock Haven Hospital - Extended Care Unit provides extended term nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, nutrition services and a full range of activities for residents of the facility.
