Lock Haven PA – January 2008 - Lock Haven Hospital is pleased to announce that John Hanna, PA-C has been hired by the hospital effective February 4, 2008. Hanna, a Certified Physician Assistant, worked within the Geisinger Health System for the past 2 years in the Lock Haven Office and is a graduate of the Lock Haven University Physician Assistant Program.

Mr. Hanna's experience and training will be a valuable asset in expanding Lock Haven Hospital's existing and future services. Specifically, Mr. Hanna will initially be working with the hospital's orthopedic practice, Haven Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, under the supervision of Brian Altman, M.D. who is Board Certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. "John has excellent clinical skills and is well respected by the medical staff. Clearly, he is an excellent addition to the orthopedic practice" noted Dr. Altman.

Mr. Hanna has been and will continue to serve at Lock Haven Hospital's Wound Care Center under the direction of Marcus Riedhammer, M.D., Medical Director of Haven Wound Care. "I have had the pleasure of working with John during the past 2 years at the Wound Center. He's an excellent clinician and admired by patients. Lock Haven Hospital and our community is privileged to be able to retain John", commented Dr. Riedhammer.

Mr. Hanna is a native of and lives in Lock Haven with his wife Rachel and their three children Olivia, Jack and Dane.
