Lock Haven, PA – Lock Haven Hospital and Haven Primary Care have announced the addition of Maria C. Bermudez, M.D., board-certified in internal medicine, to their staff.

Dr. Bermudez served her internal medicine residency at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA and completed a fellowship in nephrology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montifore Medical Center, New York, NY.

Bermudez received certification in nephrology and internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Nephrology concerns the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases by regulating blood pressure, balancing electrolytes and fluids, and renal replacement therapy.

“The addition of Dr. Bermudez gives Lock Haven Hospital not only another high quality personal physician, but also a highly trained and skilled specialist in the treatment of the wide range of kidney diseases,” said Cindy Segar-Miller, Chief Executive Officer, Lock Haven Hospital.

Dr. Bermudez is married to Dr. Carlos Jaramillo, an infectious disease specialist, based in Danville, PA. They share their home with an 8 month old chocolate Lab and enjoy camping and outdoor activities. Bermudez dabbles in painting with oils and acrylics.
