 Lock Haven Hospital and Cancer Care of Central PA Welcome Vijay Sandilya, M.D.

 Oncologist/Hematologist to provide out-patient chemotherapy

Lock Haven, PA – Lock Haven Hospital and Cancer Care of Central PA have announced the addition of Vijay Sandilya, M.D., an oncologist/hematologist, board certified in internal medicine to their staff.

 Dr. Sandilya is fellowship-trained in hematology and oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he also served his residency. Sandilya received his board certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Hematology is the branch of internal medicine that includes the study of blood, blood-forming organs and blood diseases. Oncology involves the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.

 “Given the excellent reputation of the Cancer Care of Central PA and Dr Sandilya’s training, this alliance will serve to strengthen our commitment to bring quality care to the Lock Haven Community,” said Cindy Segar-Miller, Chief Executive Officer, Lock Haven Hospital.

Dr. Sandilya is accepting new patients and will be available for hospital and nursing home consultations. Dr. Sandilya will also provide out-patient chemotherapy based locally at Bald Eagle Court, 1 Outlet Lane, Suites 304 & 305 in McElhattan. The office can be reached at 570-769-6799.

Sandilya and his wife Namita Gupta, M.D., who is completing her residency as a Primary Care Physician, have a 16 month old daughter Anika.
