 Michael Porter Elected to LHH Board of Trustees

 Lock Haven University Professor and Head Athletic Trainer

Lock Haven, PA – Lock Haven Hospital has announced the election of Michael Shawn Porter to the hospitals Board of Trustees.

Porter is an Associate Professor and Head Athletic Trainer at Lock Haven University. He earned his PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and holds a Masters of Education in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia. Porter achieved his undergraduate degree in Health Science at Lock haven University.

“Michael’s expertise in athletic training and sports medicine is a good fit for the hospital,” said David Gundy, Chairman, Board of Trustees. “His participation (on the board) will serve to strengthen the connection between Lock Haven Hospital and Lock Haven University.”

“We are excited to be able to add someone with Michael’s training and leadership experience to the board,” said Cindy Segar-Miller, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary, Board of Trustees, Lock Haven Hospital. “With his ties to the Lock Haven community and prior work with the hospital, we expect Michael to be a valuable asset to the Board.”

Porter and his wife Pam have four sons, Cameron, 14; Isaac, 12; Caleb, 7 and Lucas, 5. He sits on the Board of Directors of Keystone Little League and is President and a coach in the Mill Hall Youth League.
